Our second meal that weekend trended towards lighter fare after all the heavy eating. We made a modified version of the beet salad, followed by a nice plate of cheese and crackers. We're also featuring the banana bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream Earlier that day Julia had officially begun her herb garden, so we're looking forward to using those instead of buying supermarket herbs bit by bit.
